Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Swift CNG, starting at Rs. 8.20 lakh, priced Rs. 90,000 more than its petrol variant. The Swift S-CNG offers best-in-segment mileage of 32.85 km/kg, which is 6% more efficient than the previous model. Its power output drops to 68.75 BHP, with a slight torque increase to 101.8 Nm. Unlike its competitors, the Swift S-CNG retains a single 55-litre cylinder.

Key features include 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), halogen projector headlamps, and a 7-inch infotainment system. The top-spec ZXi trim offers LED projector headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels, wireless charging, and automatic climate control. Maruti aims to sell 600,000 CNG cars annually, with 221,000 units already sold between April and August 2024, and expects high demand due to improved fuel efficiency.
