PBG Bengaluru Smashers have defeated Puneri Paltan TT in their UTT 2024 match on Monday in Chennai. Bengaluru registered a scoreline of 10-5 and claimed their second win of the season. They now move one inch closer to the knockout stage. Here are the final scores:

Bengaluru Smashers’ Lily Zhang has clinched the women’s singles match against  Yashini Sivashankar. Lily registered a clean sweep with a scoreline of 11-9, 11-9, and 11-5 and claims the fifth and final match. With this, Bengaluru Smashers have won this tie against Puneri Paltan with a scoreline of 5-10.

Ultimate Table Tennis Live: Bengaluru win the 4th match

Bengaluru Smashers have done it again and this time, Alvaro Robles has defeated Joao Monteiro in the men’s singles match. Robles claims a scoreline of 11-5, 10-11, and 11-8. After this win, Bengaluru Smashers have extended their lead to 7-5 against Puneri Paltan.

In the mixed doubles match, Bengaluru’s duo of Manika/Alvaro edged past the Pune’s duo of Natalia/Anirban. They won this match with the scoreline of 6-11, 11-8, 10-11. With this win, Bengaluru Smashers have taken a lead by 5-4 against Puneri Paltan in the overall tie.

After losing the first game, Bengaluru Smashers’ Manika Batra showed her true mettle against Puneri Paltan’s Ayhika Mukherjee. In the second game, Manika wins with the scoreline of 11-5. Later, she continues with her fiery show and clinches the match with the scoreline of 11-6 in the third game. The overall scores of this tie are levelled at 3-3 between Bengaluru and Pune.

The women’s singles match is an interesting one as star players from both the teams, Manika Batra (Bengaluru) and Ayhika (Pune) are up against each other. In the first game, both the players gave a tough fight to each other but Ayhika had the last laugh as he clinched the game with 11-8 scoreline. 

Ultimate Table Tennis Live: Ankur wins the 1st match

Despite a tough fight from Bengaluru Smashers’ Jeet Chandra, Ankur Bhattacharjee of Puneri Paltan won the first match of this tie. In the third and final game, it was a completely dominating show from Ankur, who presented an aggressive game. He clinched  the third game with a scoreline of 11-7. The overall scoreline of this tie is 2-1 in the favor of Puneri Paltan. 

Ultimate Table Tennis Live: Jeet Chandra fights back

WOAH!!!! What is going on??? The men’s singles round between Bengaluru Smashers’ Jeet Chandra and Puneri Paltan’s Ankur Bhattacharjee began with the latter dominating the proceedings. With his aggressive approach, Ankur clinched the first game with the scoreline of 11-6. However, the second game turned out to be a bit different as Jeet kept his composure and won the game with 11-5 lead. The winner of the first match will now be decided in the final round.

En route to the thumping win, Jeet defeated India’s top-ranked male paddler, Achanta Sharath Kamal, 3-0, adding to his team’s comprehensive victory.
