On Saturday, President Mohamed Muizzu merged the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy to create the Ministry of Tourism and Environment.
This comes after Mohamed Muizzu dismissed Ibrahim Faisal as the Minister of Tourism.
In December 2024, Muizzu has also merged the Housing Ministry and the Construction Ministry, forming the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure.
This is the third time Muizzu has changed his cabinet.
