The US and UK among other countries made aircraft missile strikes against the Huthi in Yemen on Saturday at 11:50 pm, Sanaa Yemen time. The Huthi fighters have been attacking ships in the Red Sea. The eight countries made 18 targeted attacks in Yemen against the Huthi. Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands and New Zealand contributed with the help of the US and UK on strikes to Yemen on Saturday. US President Joe Biden has said they will not put up with attacks on shipping in the Red Sea. US Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters that the threat of the Huthi attacks are still strong. Early on Saturday, the destroyer USS Mason struck an anti-ship ballistic missile from Huthi areas in Yemen towards the Gulf of Aden. The missile was probably targeting MV Torm Thor, a US-flagged, owned, and operated chemical and oil tanker. The Bab AI-Mandeb Strait has been another Huthi target. On the USS Mason and MV Torm Thor no injuries were reported. U.S. F/A-18’s were launched from the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. The US Navy reports it hasn’t operated at this pace “since at least the Tanker War of the ’80s.”[1]
