Aschool plays a crucial role in shaping the foundation of primary kids by providing a nurturing and engaging environment for learning and growth. “Through interactive teaching methods, activity-based learning, and personalized attention at this school children develop essential academic skills. It also focuses on creativity, communication, and social development through storytelling, art, music, and group activities,” shares Nidhi Sharma whose daughter Anahita studies in Class I at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.
Read on to learn how teachers encourage curiosity and problem-solving, helping children build confidence and a love for learning here.
What factors influenced you to choose Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park?
It is a very old school with strong alumni and good resources. There is a good balanced focus on extracurricular activities and academics. They provide a variety of activities and focus on every child’s potential.
Which best techniques do teachers use to teach students?
They have smart classrooms, and teachers have interactive sessions, they believe in clearing the concepts and not just teaching the topic, integrated themes are being implemented to make learning more fun, and there are different events like morning assemblies, Sportacular, and Annual Day in which the kids explore his/her hidden interests.
Which activities does your child enjoy and participate in most?
She is a good orator. And has been made the MOC on different occasions like morning assemblies, graduation day (KG) and then again in this year’s nursery orientation programme. Then she was speaking on Kashmir during the Republic Day celebration also. She loves to dance too so she has participated in it at different times, again in morning assemblies, Hindi Diwas, International Dance Day, Graduation Day, and Annual Appreciation Day.
What are the safety protocols for young children?
Mostly we see female staff, there are cameras installed, we need to show our parent’s ID card whenever we go to pick up our kid and teachers just don’t hand over the kid to any unknown person. So these are good safety measures that have been implemented by the school.
Which facilities and infrastructure of the school are attractive and conducive for students?
It has a big campus, computer-aided learning with internet connections, AC classrooms and buses, and a basketball court. They have different interest clubs, Sports Guru programmes, skating, and short tennis to name some. Few sports are there where special coaching is being provided. So there is a good scope of physical activity and there is a good chance that a kid can select a sport of his/her interest and explore his/her future in it. This school provides good infrastructure and opportunities to students that way.
Are you happy and satisfied with your child’s progress so far?
We are really satisfied with our child’s overall development, she loves her class teachers and her friends and is enthusiastic about going to school every day and this is what we need as parents.
